DELIVERIES
For customers that would prefer to order and pay over the phone, limiting contact with our staff you can take advantage of our “non-contact” delivery service by placing your order by email or over the phone. All Bagged Fuel can be delivered however there is a minimum order of £50.00
COLLECTION
For those that would prefer to call-in to collect smaller qualtities, rest assured we have stringent social distancing and hygiene measures in place.

So we’ve made a few changes:
- Our reception is open for general call-in purchases, i.e Smaller quantities of logs.
- We still advise and strongly encourage pre-ordering to ensure we have what you need at the time, and to helpus manage footfall.
- Strict social distancing measures apply while on site. (See below for more information.)
Our focus remains on safety, so we’ve made some changes to how things work when you visit us:
- In accordance with the new regulations in England, anyone over the age of 12, without an exemption is required to wear a face-covering while in our reception area.
- We’re only allowing 1 customer at a time in the reception area, so you may have to wait outside and there could be long delays at busy times.
- We’re asking you to stay 2m from staff and other customers at all times. This includes when we are loading your vehicle. You may be asked to remain in your vehicle during loading or you may need to load your own goods.
- Please avoid bringing children with you to site, if you must we’d ask that you do not allow them to leave your vehicle.
- If you do come to site please listen to any direction given by our staff to ensure your and their safety.
- Lead times may be extended during busy periods. Regarding Log Deliveries we aim to fulfil your order between 7-14 days.

Experienced Forestry Worker
An opportunity has arisen to join the team at Dowdeswell Forestry Services. We are a small family run firm based just outside Cheltenham in Gloucestershire. The business encompasses Tree Surgery, Forestry and Firewood Deliveries etc. in some of the most beautiful parts of the Cotswolds.
Following continued growth of our business, an exciting opportunity for an experienced Forester has arisen to join our professional, friendly and busy team. We envisage that the ideal applicant will have a passion for forestry operations, enjoy working outside, be a team player and take pride in their work.
You must have a strong background working previously within Forestry Operations. Have a good knowledge of common native trees and shrubs also also understand and be able to carry out different tree surgery techniques and services. It is essential that applicants hold a minimum of NPTC CS30/31 and have 2-3 years experience within the field.
All candidates must have plenty of experience using chainsaws. An appreciation for mechanical maintenance to assist in basic repairs and up keep of equipment is also useful.
You must possess a full UK drivers licence and have your own transport as Dowdeswell is not served by any public transport.
You will need to have a true ‘team work’ approach. Knowledge of the local area is desirable but not essential. However, you must be flexible, professional and have excellent time keeping.
You will also be working with a highly skilled team colleagues. Competitive hourly pay dependant on experience and 28 days paid holiday. Overtime and weekend work available.

You must have a strong background working previously as a Climber. Have a good knowledge of common native trees and shrubs also also understand and be able to carry out different tree surgery techniques and services. It is essential that applicants hold a minimum of NPTC CS30/31 NPTC CS38 or 39 (308) and have 2-3 years experience within the field. All candidates must have plenty of experience using chainsaws and chippers and good understanding of rigging operations at ground level. An appreciation for mechanical maintenance to assist in basic repairs and up keep of equipment is also useful.
