Standing Timber Sales. These fees are based on a sliding scale: 10% on the first £1,000; 7.5% on the next £5,000; 5% on the next £10,000; 2.5% thereafter. This includes applications for Felling Licences (where appropriate), the preparation of sale particulars, exposure for sale by tender or private treaty and preparation of sale and extraction agreements. All other work, for example the measuring and grading of timber or control and supervision of felling and extraction is charged by the hour. Physical valuations of timber and forestry properties. 2.5% on the first £25,000; 1% on the next £25,000; 0.25% thereafter. Where particularly detailed measurements or unusually protracted negotiations are required, a separate fee will be negotiated. Management and Advisory Work. £25 per hour. This includes all work not covered by the scale of fees above. Client liaison, preparation of working plans, management plans and grant schemes, control of estate and contract staff, calculation and responsibility for budgets. We are usually able to provide an estimate of cost for a fixed task, such as survey, plan preparation and grant applications. |
